The University of Tartu provides several scholarships to students;

A) Dora Plus:

Dora plus scholarship program is initiated by the Estonian government and universities of Tartu Estonia and other universities like Estonia academy of Art, Estonia Academy of music and Theater, University of Tartu, Tallinn University, and Tallinn university of technology. The purpose of the scholarship is to attract foreigners to choose Estonia as their study destination.

Dora plus scholarship is for Master’s students. This is a merit-based scholarship for all international aspirants. The worth of the scholarship is 350 euros per month. The period of the scholarship is one year. Further categories of Dora plus scholarship are given below;

      1. Dora plus program grants scholarships to Master’s students for one year who study their whole course in Estonia.
      2. Dora plus program grants scholarships to Doctoral students who study their whole course in Estonia.
      3. Dora plus program grant scholarships to Doctoral students who visit Estonia for 1 to 10 months.

B) Ministry of foreign affairs scholarship:

Estonian Ministry of foreign affairs scholarship is also for Master students. This is a merit-based scholarship for all international aspirants. The worth of the scholarship is 400 euros per month. The period of the scholarship is two years. As the technology law course is one year program so the scholarship is provided for one year. The courses which are offered on the Ministry of foreign affairs (MFA) scholarship are:

C) Doctoral Allowances

D) Raeford Scholarship

This Estonian scholarship is provided to the students who are studying at Uthe University of Tartu (UT). The worth of the scholarship is 700 EUR. UUp to9 scholarships are given every year. This scholarship is granted to strengthen education.

#2 Kristjan Jaak Scholarship

The education ministry of Estonia and the government of Estonia cooperated and initiate this Kristjan jaak scholarship. It grants mobility scholarships to MA and Ph.D. Students from all areas. It gives opportunities to Estonia’s students who want to study abroad. It has the following categories.

      • Scholarship for degree study abroad_ This scholarship is provided to Ph.D. or MA students who study abroad and return to Estonia after completing their graduation. The period of scholarship is one year.
      • For the study period abroad_ This scholarship is provided to Ph.D.or MA students who want to study abroad for a specific period during their course. The period of the scholarship is 12 months.
      • For short time visits_ This scholarship is provided to Ph.D., MA students, and young faculty members who want to visit abroad for studies for 30 days.

#3 Scholarships by Estonian Education Ministry

Estonia education ministry and research groups collaborate and initiate a scholarship program for international researchers and academic staff. It has the following categories:

      • Grants for short term visits_ These study visits are for one to nine days. The worth of the scholarship is 45 euros per day.
      • Grants for long term visits_ These study visits are for 10 days to 10 months. The worth of the scholarship is 600 euros for one month.
      • Specialization scholarships_ This scholarship is for BA and MA students who want to do specialization in their courses.
