How do I apply to the Aalto University Scholarships?

Aalto University accepts undergraduate, master’s, and postgraduate students.

The second step is to choose a study option. After this, they will be tasked to fill in the application form and submit all required documents as early as possible.

Aalto University Scholarships

1. Aalto University Scholarship Program

This scholarship program is open to all non-EU/EEA students who are remarkably talented in the field of academics. Scholars will receive the grant in the form of a tuition fee waiver. Moreover, this scholarship has two types. The first one is the Category A scholarship which covers 100% of the grantee’s tuition fee, and the second is the Category B scholarship which only covers 50%.

Applicants should be informed that this Aalto University scholarship program will not cover living expenses. It must also be noted that there is only a limited number of grantees per degree program. Moreover, scholars must pursue full-time study and acquire outstanding progress in their studies based on an endorsed personal study plan to maintain the scholarship.

2. Aalto Incentive-Based Scholarships

The incentive-based scholarship is open to all academically excellent students who pay either full or partial tuition costs. In order to be a grantee, one needs to have obtained 60 ECTS credits or more based on the endorsed personal study plan in the span of one academic year. Furthermore, this is a scholarship that can be acquired multiple times.

3. Scholarships for Aalto bachelor’s program graduates continuing in Aalto master’s programs

Aalto students who graduate from a Bachelor’s program taught in English have the opportunity to apply for a full scholarship in a Master’s program at Aalto University.

To qualify for this particular scholarship at Aalto University, one must have earned the Bachelor’s degree within three years or six semesters and attained a final grade point average (GPA) of 3.80 or higher. If an Aalto Bachelor’s graduate meets these criteria, he or she will receive this grant which covers the full tuition costs for the two years or four semesters of the chosen Master’s degree.
