1. Royal University of Phnom Penh

The Royal University of Phnom Penh is the oldest university in Cambodia, having been established in the year 1960. In addition to this, the national research university is also the largest institute of higher education in the country.

Intending to provide students with an enhanced quality of education as well as promote research for innovation, this affordable university in Cambodia gives students a chance to choose from various courses under the following faculties: Faculty of Science, Faculty of Social Science & Humanities, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Development Studies, Faculty of Education, and Institute of Foreign Languages.

Incoming undergraduates should note that the annual tuition fee depends on the student’s chosen course. Most of the courses offered at the university have a tuition fee of only $250 per year. Around four courses cost $300 per academic year, and only two have a tuition fee of $450 annually.

As for future postgraduates, they are advised to contact the department of their chosen course for the tuition fee amount.

2. Cambodian Mekong University

A private university established in 2003, Cambodian Mekong University is an institution that goes by the motto, “The University that cares for the value of education.” In line with this, the institute’s culture is known for encouraging students to maintain good and positive behavior at all times.

The university’s campus comprises two buildings and has 34 classrooms, 2 seminar rooms, a library, a restaurant for students and staff, an IT Computer Lab, and even a bookstore. Other facilities at the center of learning include a sports facility and a cinema room.

Similar to most universities, the tuition fee at Cambodian Mekong University depends on the student’s chosen course. The majority of the courses offered at this affordable institution at Cambodia are from $650 to $750. However, the International Program for Accounting, International Business Management, and English for Business cost $1,600 per year. Furthermore, the Entrepreneurship Program for Business & Enterprise Management has a tuition fee of $2,400.

Lastly, all Associate’s Degrees cost only $480 per academic year.

3. BELTEI International University

A private higher education institution, the name of this university is an acronym of the six main subjects they offer: Business, Economics, Law, Tourism, English, and Information Technology. Thus it is called BELTEI International University.

The institute offers programs like Bridging Courses, Foundation Year Courses, Bachelor’s Degrees, Master’s Degrees, and Doctor’s Degrees. Furthermore, students can either pursue a National Program wherein lessons are carried out in both Khmer and English or an International Program wherein the mode of instruction is purely English.

It should be noted that the tuition fees for international students are slightly different than those for Khmer students.

4. Paragon International University

Formerly known as Zaman University, Paragon International University is a fairly young institute of higher education as it was established only ten years ago. In this center of learning, all programs utilize English as the mode of instruction.

There are three faculties in this cheap Cambodian university: Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Information & Computer Technologies, and Faculty of Economics & Administrative Sciences. Aside from this, Paragon also has an English Preparatory School and a School of Graduate Studies as well as a Center for Professional Education.

Tuition fees depend on the student’s chosen course. Additionally, students are obligated to pay a $500 registration fee before the academic year starts. In line with this, Paragon International University offers a number of scholarships to all of its students in order to help them fund their education.

5. CamEd Business School

CamEd Business School, otherwise known as CamEd Institute, was established in the year 2000. The courses offered at this center of learning focuses on accounting and finances. Moreover, it is Cambodia’s leading institute of higher education in the fields as mentioned earlier.

As a matter of fact, this affordable university in Cambodia is an approved learning partner of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and is recognized by the ASEAN University Network and the Accreditation Committee Of Cambodia.

The tuition fees at this institution are at $2,089 from the time a student is in their first to the second year of education. It increases and becomes $2,199 by the time the student is in their third year until their fourth year.
