Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is a world-class public research university in Nottingham, England. It was established in 1843 as the Nottingham Government School of Design. How Do I Apply to Nottingham Trent University Scholarships?

Nottingham Trent University welcomes over 4,000 international students from more than 120 countries across the globe. It offers a wide range of scholarships for both undergraduate and postgraduate student enrollees. Additionally, with the support of the UK Government and other organizations, it also provides external funding opportunities to international students.

To gain a chance or nomination for a scholarship and entry to Foundation courses at the Nottingham Trent International College, students must have completed their high school education with an average of at least 80%. Those with International Baccalaureate Diploma may gain admission in Bachelors courses at Nottingham Trent University.

Students with Bachelor’s degrees from an internationally recognized institution may apply for Diploma courses at Nottingham Trent International College. Those wishing to gain entry to postgraduate (Master) courses at the university must be Bachelor’s degree holders with high overall grades. Ph.D. degree applicants must be Master’s degree holders with grades equivalent to the UK first or upper second class honors degree.

Nottingham Trent University Scholarships

1. International Merit Scholarship

The International Merit Scholarship is for outstanding international students pursuing their postgraduate degrees at Nottingham Trent University. All nationalities except for those who hold an EU citizenship are welcome to apply. Interested applicants must have received an offer to study in an eligible program.

Students must be new upcoming international students who will commence their undergraduate or postgraduate degrees at NTU. They must be liable to pay the tuition fees at an overseas rate. Students must submit their application forms after they receive an offer to study at the university. Those who are recipients of other scholarships or sponsorships are not eligible to apply.

Students must be Bachelor’s degree holders with excellent grades. They must meet the entry requirements of their chosen degree programs. Generally, the university requires students to submit their academic transcripts, motivation letter, personal statement, proof of work experience, and a valid copy of their passport. Those from non-English speaking countries must pass the minimum score for the English language proficiency test as required by their courses.

Students may receive a scholarship with a value of up to £3,000. It will apply as a tuition fee reduction upon their enrollment. Additionally, the scholarship is only available once for every student granted with an offer of admission on a qualifying course.

2. Chevening Scholarships

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) of the UK Government, with other funding organizations, will provide Chevening scholarships to international students pursuing a Master’s degree in Nottingham Trent University. 3. Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships

The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) of the UK Government proudly offers the Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships to international students from selected lower and middle-income Commonwealth countries. It will provide the opportunity for talented and motivated individuals to gain and develop a new set of knowledge and skills in a UK university. Interested applicants must commit to the six focal points or development themes of the Commonwealth Scholarships.

Students must be a citizen (including those with refugee status) of an eligible Commonwealth country or be British Protected Person to be eligible for this scholarship available at Nottingham Trent University. They must be Master’s degree holders with grades equivalent to the UK upper second class (2:1) or a second class (2:2) honors standard. They must also prove that they are unable to afford to study in the UK.
