We will discuss the University of Newcastle scholarships for international students.

How Do I Apply to the University of Newcastle and Its Scholarships?

International undergraduate students who wish to apply must submit their application at least 12 weeks before the semester starts. You can either apply through affiliated agents of the University of Newcastle or their online international application system. If these options are unavailable, you can send your application via email. Along with your application form, you need to submit several documents including transcripts, completion certificate, English proficiency test scores, passport biometric page, and a curriculum vitae (CV) or letters of work experience if applying for a program needing work experience.

Once your application is processed, you are given a student number which will be used throughout your application process. You will also be given details for logging in to their system to track your application status. If you are accepted, you will be given an offer letter which you have to accept and pay the necessary fees after. Afterwhich, a Confirmation of Enrollment (COE) is issued which is also needed in processing a student visa. For more information on the application process, you can check their International Undergraduate Admissions Guide.

The application process of postgraduates is similar to undergraduates. You can find more information here on how to apply as an international postgraduate applicant. If you are applying for a PhD or research program, you need to find a potential supervisor to support your research proposal. However, finding a supervisor is not an assurance that you will get accepted into the program. After finding a supervisor, you should present your research proposal and submit the required documents for your application. The documents needed are your research proposal, birth certificate, passport copy, academic transcripts, English language certification, CV, and other additional documents related to work experience. Applying for a scholarship can be done in your initial course application and fill up the scholarship section for intention. However, there are some scholarships where you do not need to send an application since the university automatically considers your application, as long as you meet their standards. Listed below are some available scholarships for undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD and research degrees. You’ll also find how to apply for these scholarships through the links listed below.
