TU Dresden is a public research university. Because of this, it offers free tuition to all students, both domestic and international. However, international students may also avail themselves of financial support through TU Dresden scholarships and grants.

Applicants must check the application and enrolment requirements and procedures based on different criteria: nationality, degree program, and entrance qualification. You may check more information on this page.

The most important things to prepare for when applying for a degree at TU Dresden are German language skills and German university qualifications.

TUD recognizes various certifications for language proficiency. You may find more information about other recognized language certificates here.

Every degree course at TUD may have its own unique set of criteria and requirements for admission. Be sure to check the Study Information System (SINS) for more detailed information and guidelines.

Prospective international students may reach out to the International Office for counseling and service regarding how to choose a program, application requirements, scholarships, disabilities, and studying with families. You may also ask about visa requirements for education in Germany.

The university also offers the ServiceCenterStudies (SCS) for prospective students to communicate with current students about application procedures and other concerns about studying at TU Dresden.

Applicants must prepare authenticated documents such as a transcript of records and other university credentials in German or English languages. Resume or curriculum vitae, motivation letters, and recommendation letters must ideally also be in English.
