The University of Warwick is a world-class public research university in Coventry, United Kingdom. It received its Royal Charter in 1965 after the UK government approved of its establishment in 1961. It is best known for its excellence in engineering, business, arts, humanities, and social sciences. It is also one of the largest universities in the United Kingdom. The university is on the outskirts of Coventry which is southwest of the city center in the heart of England. How Do I Apply for the University of Warwick Scholarships?

There is a wide range of funding opportunities for international students who gain admission at the University of Warwick. They accept applications in three intakes during the autumn, spring, and summer terms. The university requires international students to fulfill the general requirements for admission applications. These include official transcripts of their academic records, proof of English language proficiency and financial support, SAT/ACT score, a tier 4 visa, letters of recommendation, personal statement, and other supporting requirements. These may vary depending on the programs they are applying to.

Applicants for undergraduate programs must have at least a 3.0 GPA or equivalent (during their Final Year 12) and provide a passing score for their English Proficiency tests. They must also show an A level or equivalent in physics and mathematics and present a valid passport. Students may access their application form and upload proof of their documents on the UCAS online application portal.

Applicants for graduate programs must upload an original copy of their Bachelor’s/Master’s degree diploma, proof of their English Proficiency score and GMAT/GRE results, proposal for their research study or project plan, and certificate of financial support through  Warwick University Taught Courses Application Portal. The University of Warwick Scholarships for International Students

1. Warwick Undergraduate Global Excellence Scholarship

  • Degrees offered: Undergraduate

The Warwick Undergraduate Global Excellence Scholarship awards international students with excellent academic records and exceptional talents pursuing a bachelor’s degree at Warwick University. The eligibility criteria for the award include; applicants were obliged to pay for their tuition fees or are not recipients of any sponsorships. Additionally, they must have obtained entry in an undergraduate program at the university to be considered for the program. They should also provide an English Proficiency test certificate, especially if they come from non-English speaking countries.

Students may benefit from a full tuition fee scholarship every year until the end of their degree program or receive an amount of €2,000- €13,000. The award that students will receive depends on the evaluation results of the university.

Candidates who want to receive this University of Warwick scholarship grant should apply for admission to an undergraduate program offered by the university. 2. Warwick International Chancellor’s International Scholarships

  • Degrees offered: Ph.D.

Warwick Chancellor’s International Scholarships are available for EU and international doctoral students who want to pursue a Ph.D. research and/or coursework at Warwick University. Students must be applying for a first-year degree course on an MPhil/Ph.D. or Ph.D. of any discipline at the university. Those who are currently enrolled in their first-year study can still apply for the scholarship.

Students may receive this fully-funded scholarship at the University of Warwick worth €24,010 with an additional €15,285 as a maintenance stipend for full-time scholars and a Research, Training, and Supporting Grant (RTSG) of up to €5,000. The maximum funding period can take up to 3.5 years which can reduce to 2.5 years for students who are already studying in their first year.

Candidates with outstanding academic records holding a first-class degree honor with a research project/study plan showing lots of potential in making significant changes to the community or the field of their study will have a high chance to get an offer for the scholarship. 3. Chevening Scholarship

  • Scholarship amount: fully-funded scholarship amount of €30,000 including payment for tuition fees, travel, and living allowances, etc.
  • Degrees offered: Master’s

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) of the UK Government funds this scholarship program to support international students who will study at their partner higher educational institutions in the United Kingdom. This scholarship aims to bring young emerging leaders into the world and build a stronger relationship between the United Kingdom and their home countries. Aside from financial support, the scholarship will give a chance for students to engage in social and cultural activities that the government will initiate.

Students may receive a scholarship worth €18,000 for tuition fees. Additional travel allowances for flight tickets to and from the UK, allotment for visa application fees, and monthly living allowances may also be rewarded.

International students applying for this University of Warwick scholarship program must be coming from Chevening-partner countries with at least two years of working experience. They must show upper-second class honors (or equivalent to a UK 2.1 GPA) on their undergraduate degree transcripts and receives an unconditional letter of acceptance to their chosen Master’s program at their desired British University. Students must also achieve a specific level of English proficiency and pursue a one-year full-time study on their chosen Master’s coursework.
